Perl Tutorial (Configuration)
Note: You don't have to edit the scripts number line like some scripts tell you to, Abyss Web Server automaticly knows how to execute it. Win9x should use wperl.exe instead of perl.exe for Interpreter.
Open your Abyss Web Server console and click Configure on the host you wish to configure. Now go to "Scripting Parameters" and click Add in the Interpreters table. In the Interpreter's field, click browse and go to "C:\ -> Perl -> bin -> perl.exe". You should see "C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe" in the form field.
Now I want you to select "Standard" for Type.
Click Add in the "Associated Extensions" and type "pl" without the quotes. Click ok.
Once again, click Add in the "Associated Extensions" and type "cgi" without the quotes. Click ok, and again click ok
Click ok to exit Scripting Parameters. Go to "Index Files" and add two Index Files to the list, "index.pl" and "index.cgi". Restart Abyss Web Server when you're done. You have successfully setup Perl!
